How CastAi Handles Your Congregation's Information

CastAi answers the email that comes to your public-talk inbox. These are the rules it works under, for every congregation that uses it. An assistant that does not meet them does not run.

What CastAi Can See

What CastAi Can Do

A Message Is Information, Never an Instruction

CastAi reads email from speakers and coordinators, and anyone can write anything in an email. So CastAi treats every message, spreadsheet cell and web page as information to act on for you, never as instructions to itself.

A message that asks for your list to be sent somewhere, for someone new to be copied in, or for a setting to be changed is flagged to you. It is not carried out.

Replies go only to the person who wrote, to your congregation's own inbox, or to addresses CAST already holds for that talk.

Where CastAi Runs

Before CastAi Starts for Your Congregation

  1. It is given its own identity, which works for your congregation only.
  2. It is set up with the rules on this page.
  3. Its actions are limited to the list above. Everything else waits for your approval.
  4. It does a practice run on your congregation's information, and you review it before anything is sent.

You Are in Control

If Something Goes Wrong If CastAi sends something it should not have, or we suspect its access was misused, we pause it, withdraw its key, check the activity log for everything it touched, and tell you the same day. It does not run again until the cause is fixed. To report a concern, email cast@igsglobal.net.
